TCU has released plans for a $105 million renovation of its 80-year-old football stadium, a project that will force the Armed Forces Bowl to move its Dec. 30 game temporarily.
The renovation of Amon G. Carter Stadium will begin after TCU's final home game Nov. 13 against San Diego State.
The first major renovation of the stadium since the upper deck was added in 1956 will force the Armed Forces Bowl to move. Bowl organizers plan to announce that venue Tuesday, but they say team housing and ''all activities surrounding the game'' will stay centered in Fort Worth.
