Georgia tailback Todd Gurley and wide receiver Malcom Mitchell both left the fifth-ranked Bulldogs' game with No. 8 Clemson with injuries in the first quarter Saturday night.

Gurley returned early in the second quarter after hurting his thigh and heading back to the locker room after a 75-yard touchdown run.

Mitchell left the game with an injured knee after the Bulldogs' first series. Georgia officials did not say if he would be back.

Gurley is part of the Bulldogs two-back tandem with Keith Marshall. Gurley ran for 1,385 yards and 17 touchdowns, trailing only Herschel Walker's freshman record.
