Syracuse Football is facing an angry wounded momma bear on Saturday

Syracuse football head coach Dino Babers described the upcoming Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a wounded angry momma bear. How will this affect the game?
Well that’s according to Syracuse football head coach Dino Babers. In his weekly press conference leading up to the game he was asked about the incoming Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
“Just like in the cowboy movies, you circle the wagons and you find out who wants to fight and who doesn’t. So we’re going to get an angry momma bear that has been wounded. She’s going to be fighting and clawing with all she has.”
While Babers can be colorful in his commentary, he brings up an excellent point. This team before the season was an AP top-10 team.
All the talent is still there for the Irish. Sure they’ve dealt with some injuries, the Syracuse football team can certainly relate. The Irish are going to give their best shot Saturday, there’s no doubt.
Ultimately it seems that this game is going to come down to which defense can get a stop. Because whoever has the ball last might very well win this game.
Head coach for the Irish, Brian Kelly, spoke about the explosive nature of this Orange offense with the media.
“The best way to describe this team is that they’re going to push the ball vertically first. Then when the defense backs off, they aren’t afraid to dink it and dunk it to death. So they’ve got great versatility with what they want to do. They can do everything and they can do it really really fast.”
Since coach Babers arrived in Central New York his mentality has remained the same. #OrangeIsTheNewFast and he hasn’t strayed from that one bit through four games. While the Irish’s offense is no slouch either.
We had the voice of the Irish, Don Criqui, on ESPN Radio here in Syracuse this week and he said when this Irish offense gets going, “they can move the ball on anyone, including a NFL team.”
So for entertainment purposes only if you wish to partake in prop bets or Vegas lines, the over/under for total points may be something to look into.
