Cameron Crabtree scored on a 6-yard run with 24 seconds remaining, lifting Division II St. Joseph's (Ind.) to a 36-34 victory over Valparaiso on Thursday night.
The Pumas began their winning drive at their 7-yard line with 3:01 left. Quarterback Billy VandeMerkt had 10 completions on the drive, for 90 yards.
Gabe Ali-El gave Valparaiso a 34-27 lead on a 5-yard run with 2:49 left in the third quarter.
St. Joseph's cut the lead to 34-30 on a 39-yard field goal by Gavin Voss with 7:14 left in the game.

VandeMerkt completed 21 of 38 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns. Julian Walker caught 11 passes for 205 yards and two TDs.
Valparaiso's Eric Hoffman completed 23 of 44 passes for 201 yards.
