St. Joseph's beats Valparaiso 31-10

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) Tate Borlik threw two touchdowns to Mike Anderson and Anderson ran for another TD as St. Joseph's beat Valparaiso 31-10 on Saturday.

Borlik finished 16 of 30 and 170 yards passing. Anderson's 47-yard touchdown run came with just seconds remaining in the first quarter. He had 97 yards rushing on 10 carries.

Braxton Shelton - who scored on a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to seal the win - led St. Joseph's in rushing with 159 yards on 25 carries. Gavin Voss kicked a 46-yard field goal to end the first half.

The Pumas (1-0) had 464 yards in total offense.

The Pumas led 17-3 at the break and expanded their advantage to 24-3 early in the third quarter before the Crusaders (0-2) finally scored a touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Ben Lehman to Andrew Cassara.

Lehman was 24 of 47 for 234 yards.
