Dante Warren threw a touchdown pass and ran for another to help South Dakota beat UC Davis 27-24 on Saturday.
Warren's 67-yard pass to Jeremy Blount was one of three big plays that lifted the Coyotes (5-3, 2-0 Great West). Adam Broders' 66-yard interception return early in the third quarter gave South Dakota the lead for good at 24-17, and Jim Thompson's 72-yard kickoff return set up the first of two field goals by Kevin Robb.
Broders had another interception, and was credited with 14 tackles for South Dakota. The Coyotes also recovered three UC Davis fumbles.
Randy Wright threw two touchdown passes, both to Anthony Soto, for the Aggies (2-5, 0-1).
