Bill Snyder said Tuesday that he's hopeful injured quarterback Collin Klein will be available to start No. 3 Kansas State's game at TCU this weekend.
The Heisman Trophy contender sustained an apparent head injury in the third quarter of Saturday's 44-30 victory over Oklahoma State. Klein never went to the locker room, but his helmet was taken away and he spent the remainder of the game watching from the sideline.
Snyder said that Klein, when requested by the media, was willing to talk to reporters during Kansas State's weekly availability. Snyder made the decision to shield him.
Asked whether he expects Klein to play, Snyder said: ''I certainly hope that's the case.''
