Boston College recently announced that four former football players signed free agent deals, while two received invitations to rookie minicamps.

The most prolific of the six-pack is dual-threat quarterback Tyler Murphy, whose 1,184 rushing yards broke a 13-year old record set by former Clemson QB Woodrow Danzler in 2001. The electric QB inked a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have him listed on their website as a wide receiver.

Also receiving free agent deals where CB Manuel Asprilla, LB Josh Keyes and OG Bobby Vardaro. Wide receiver Josh Bordner and DB Dominque Williams were invited to minicamps by the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns, respectively.

Asprilla, a three-year starter at corner with four interceptions, signed with the San Diego Chargers, while Keyes, a strongside linebacker who earned third-team all-ACC honors, was inked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Vardaro, a three-year starter at left guard, will be headed to Minnesota.
