Mason Mills threw two touchdown passes and Ryan Costa had an 88-yard interception return for a score, leading San Diego to a 30-10 win over Western New Mexico on Saturday night.
Mills threw both TD passes to freshman Brandon White. The first was a 24-yarder less than three minutes into the game, the second a 42-yarder early in the fourth quarter.
Kenny James ran for 90 yards and a TD on 12 carries for the Toreros (2-0).
Division II Western New Mexico (1-1) got a 19-yard touchdown pass from David Ingram to Daveon Barner, and Kam Drawhorn kicked a 32-yard field goal.

Mills completed 19 of 28 passes for 221 yards. White caught 7 passes for 119 yards.
