Brad Sorensen threw for 230 yards and a touchdown as well as ran for a score to lead Southern Utah to a 31-13 win over South Dakota on Saturday.

Sorensen's big plays came in the second quarter when he threw a short scoring pass to Abbel Aiono with about six and a half minutes left and then ran in for a touchdown with 23 seconds to go. The Thunderbirds (4-4, 3-0 Great West) led 24-13 at halftime.

Dante Warren led the Coyotes (3-5, 1-2 Great West) by throwing 19 for 32 for 217 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Robb kicked a pair of field goals, including one from 49 yards.

Southern Utah's Austin Minefee led the game in rushing with 137 yards, including a short touchdown dash midway through the third quarter that marked the game's only scoring in the second half.
