Colton Cook kicked a 38-yard field goal with 2:12 to play Saturday to put Southern Utah ahead to stay, and the Thunderbirds went on to beat Montana 30-20.

Cook's field goal was set up by Brock Miller's 22-yard run on a fake punt to the Montana 27-yard line.

Myles Crawford-Harris' 34-yard touchdown with just over a minute to play sealed the win for Southern Utah (3-4, 2-2 Big Sky). Brad Sorensen threw for two touchdowns and ran for another for the Thunderbirds.

The Grizzlies (3-4, 2-2) tied it at 20 on Chris Lider's 42-yard field goal with 7:58 remaining. Trent McKinney threw for one touchdown and ran for another for the Grizzlies.
