Richmond defeats Albany 27-10

Michael Strauss threw for a game-high 310 yards and one touchdown as Richmond outscored Albany (NY) and finished with a 27-10 victory Saturday.
Strauss completed 26 of 40 passes, throwing a 30-yard TD pass to Rashad Ponder in the fourth quarter. Seth Fisher picked up the other Spider TD with a 3-yard run in the third, giving Richmond its first lead of the game at 14-7 after a successful two-point conversion.
Brandon Jordi scored the other 13 points for Richmond (3-6, 1-4 Colonial Athletic Association) with four field goals and an extra point.
Omar Osbourne ran in from 2 yards and the only Albany touchdown of the game in the first quarter. A 24-yard field goal by Tom O'Riordan before the half was the last score for the Great Danes (1-8, 0-5), who are on a seven-game losing streak.
