Richmond 34, VMI 19

Aaron Corp threw a pair of touchdown passes to Tre Gray in the second quarter, and Richmond held on to a hefty halftime lead in a 34-19 win over Virginia Military Institute on Saturday night.
Corp finished 12 for 18 passing for 220 yards, including scores of 37 and 4 yards in the second quarter, for the Spiders (3-0). Richmond also got a 34-yard touchdown return from Ben Edwards off a blocked punt and a pair of Wil Kamin 31-yard field goals, staking the Spiders to a 27-0 halftime advantage.
Kendall Gaskins, who finished with 67 yards on 14 carries, added a 39-yard rushing score for a 34-0 lead midway through the third quarter. Gray finished with 96 yards on four catches for the Spiders, who beat the Keydets (0-3) for the ninth straight time.
Eric Kordenbrock went 15 for 35 passing for 231 yards and two touchdowns for VMI.
