Rice lands three-star recruit by writing letter to his cat

Recruiting in Texas is fierce, with both in-state programs and top national names trying to secure talent.
So when you're Rice, a proud member of Conference USA, you have to get creative.
That, apparently, includes recruiting not just sons and parents but family pets.
Rice has been pursuing three-star 2015 quarterback J.T. Granato, and this week offensive coordinator Billy Lynch pulled out one of his best tricks.

He wrote a letter to J.T.'s cat. The letter to Kitty Granato read:
