Reserve running back Jonathan Miller plans to leave No. 1 Oklahoma and transfer.

Coach Bob Stoops said after practice Tuesday that Miller had informed him that he was leaving for ''family reasons and the opportunity to have a chance to maybe play a little more.''

Stoops says Miller is ''a good young man and I'm sure he's going to do really well.''

Miller took an injury redshirt last season after playing in seven games as a freshman in 2009, gaining 130 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown.

He had seven carries for 20 yards as Oklahoma's fourth-string running back in Saturday's season-opening 47-14 win over Tulsa.
