Report: Pac-12 could raid Big 12

The Pac-12 appears to be working out the final details to bring Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the conference, according to a published report on Sunday.
Nothing has been approved yet, but the deal would allow the Longhorns to keep their new cable TV network, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
A high-ranking administrator at one of the four Big 12 schools told the paper, "It's heating up. We’re trying to move in that direction (of joining the Pac-12)."
When asked about terms of the proposal, the administrator said, "We can live with it."
Another one of the newspaper's sources close to the situation said it's expected that the Texas Board of Regents will vote Monday to authorize Bill Powers, the school's president, to make a decision.
For football, the conference would be aligned into four four-team pods, with one consisting of the Big 12 newcomers. Teams would play the other members of their pod every year and then rotate through the remaining schools to fill out their conference schedule.
It is believed the championship game would be decided by overall conference record over a likely nine-game schedule.
Powers and ADs DeLoss Dodds and Chris Plonsky were in Los Angeles on Saturday to watch Texas beat UCLA, 49-20. They did not meet in person with Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott, a source told the newspaper.
Texas would be able to keep all of the revenue from its new cable network if that amount is greater than one-sixteenth of what the entire Pac-12 receives for its third-tier rights.
Otherwise, the members would divide the revenue evenly, the newspaper's source said. Texas would add conference content to the cable network.
