Report: Mississippi State's Day suspended for stomping LSU players

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:59 p.m. ET

Mississippi State lineman Dillon Day will miss one game for stomping on two LSU players in the Bulldogs' win in Baton Rouge last weekend.

The SEC has suspended Day for "multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike acts" against the Tigers, the league announced Tuesday.

Mississippi State has a bye this week and then will play Texas A&M on Oct. 4.

This isn't the first time Day has been disciplined for stomping, as he received a half-game suspension for a similar incident against Auburn last year.
