Report: Michigan's Director of Football Operations arrested

By Glenn McGraw
Michigan’s newly-hired Director of Football Operations, Jim Minick, was arrested early Saturday morning.
According to a report from FOX 2 News, Minick, who was hired by new head coach Jim Harbaugh in January, was involved in a single-vehicle car crash at the intersection of Airport Blvd. and State Street in Pittsfield Township.
Luckily no one was injured in the wreck, which Minick claims was caused when he swerved to avoid another vehicle that drove into his lane.
Police attempted to administer a breathalyzer at the scene, but Minick refused. They arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence.
He was detained at approximately 2:30 a.m. Police are still awaiting toxicology results to determine if Minick will be charged with a DUI.
“I’m not going to make any excuses,” Minick told FOX 2 News. “I’ll face the consequences of my actions. I regret the difficult position in which this has put my family and my employer.”
