There is a sad and completely insane story out of Tallahassee.

Last week, according to a Tallahassee Democrat report, a man who used to portray FSU mascot Chief Osceola for the university was killed during an argument about a gumbo recipe.

Caleb Halley, who served as Chief Osceola from 2004-07 according to the report, got into an argument with coworker Orlando Thompson at Buddy's Seafood Market in Panama City Beach last Tuesday.

The two men were reportedly arguing over the amount of spice to put in the gumbo.

Thompson grabbed a wooden board and Halley a small wooden knife, according to the report. Thompson then got his own knife and slashed Halley in the torso three times.

Halley died two days later from the injuries, while Thompson was then arrested on charges of manslaughter.
