Report: ASU will hire Chip Lindsey as offensive coordinator

Arizona State's new offensive coordinator will be Southern Miss offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, according to a report by Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans.
Lindsey helped Southern Miss to a 9-4 record this season. His Golden Eagles offense was ranked No. 9 in total offense, gaining 519.8 yards per game. His team also averaged 40.6 points per game, ranked No. 12 in the country.
Arizona State lost offensive coordinator Mike Norvell to Memphis where he was named the head coach on Dec. 3.
