Presbyterian defeats North Greenville 38-21

CeeJay Harris blocked a field goal and returned it 65 yards to spoil a rally and help Presbyterian defeat North Greenville 38-21 on Saturday.

Justin Gravely lined up for the potential game tying 39-yard kick with Presbyterian leading 24-21. But Harris's block kept the Blue Hose ahead with 8:34 left to play.

Presbyterian pulled away from there with a 16-yard rushing TD by Lance Byrd.

Byrd had 153 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries for the Blue Hose, who pounded out 232 yards on the ground.

The Blue Hose (1-1) gained just 47 more total yards than the Division II Crusaders but dominated the time of possession. Presbyterian held the ball for 31:43, compared to 26:19 by North Greenville.

North Greenville was led by Willy Korn, who had two touchdowns and 159 yards on 11 of 30 passing, but threw two interceptions.
