Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst has hired former UCLA assistant Inoke (ee-NO-kay) Breckterfield as defensive line coach.
Breckterfield spent the 2011 season with the Bruins after previously working at Montana and Weber State.
Breckterfield starred at defensive end for Oregon State in the late 1990s, posting a then school-record for career sacks (19.5) and tackles for loss (55.5). He was a two-time All-Pac 10 selection and was third-team All-American following his senior season in 1998.
Breckterfield played five seasons in the Canadian Football League before eventually returning to Oregon State. He joined the Beavers as a volunteer assistant in 2006 then became a graduate assistant in 2007-08.
