Penn State pulls in JUCO defensive lineman

Penn State added a defensive lineman to its recruiting class who might have a chance to help earlier than most.
That is because Tyrell Chavis is a junior college transfer from Nassau Community College.
He announced his next college stop Tuesday, using the nickname the Nittany Lions defensive linemen have gotten from coach Sean Spencer.
I will be sending the next 2 years of my collegiate career as an Wild Dog!!! #WeAre

Chavis is rated a four-star tackle prospect by Scout.com and the No. 12 JUCO prospect in the nation regardless of position.
He was a two-star prospect when he signed with Virginia out of Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia in 2012.
One day before National Signing Day, coach James Franklin's Penn State class includes 19 players, including nine four-star prospects and five defensive linemen.
