Another year of seasoning is not the only boost Penn State's offensive line can hope to get this fall.

Head coach James Franklin announced Monday senior Kevin Reihner will suit up for the Nittany Lions this fall after graduating from Stanford in March.

A native of Scranton, Pa., Reihner played in six games for the Cardinal last season as a redshirt junior. He joins a unit that returns four players who started a majority of the games last season but struggled collectively both in pass protection and run blocking.

"We are excited to have Kevin join our family," Franklin said via a team release. "He comes to us with great experience at the collegiate level and has the opportunity to make an immediate impact for us. It's awesome that Kevin can return home to Pennsylvania to close out his college career."

Aside from growing up in Pennsylvania, Reihner is also a PSU legacy. His father, George, played on the Penn State offensive line in the 1970s and his uncle John was a Nittany Lions kicker.
