Billy Ragone threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns as Penn held off a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Lafayette 27-21 in a non-conference matchup Saturday night.

The Quakers (1-0) used the strength of two Ragone throwing scores and a seven-yard rushing touchdown by Spencer Kulcsar to have a 27-7 advantage in the third quarter.

The Leopards (0-3) rallied back in the fourth quarter as Ross Scheuerman ran for two scores to cut the lead to six. Lafayette got the ball with two minutes remaining, but failed to convert a fourth and 29 on their own 33 as they were flagged for an illegal forward pass on a desperation lateral.

Kulcsar had five receptions for 66 yards and rushed for 20.
