OSU's Blackmon arrested in Texas

Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon, the nation’s leader in receiving yards and touchdown catches, was arrested on a driving under the influence complaint in the early-morning hours Tuesday in Carrolton, Texas, according to a report on the Oklahoman newspaper’s web site.
Blackmon was arrested at 3:45 a.m. after he was pulled over for speeding, and field sobriety tests conducted on the side of the road determined a detectable amount of alcohol, the report said. Blackmon and three unidentified passengers reportedly were returning from the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the New York Giants on Monday night in Arlington. Police said their radar indicated the vehicle Blackmon was driving was traveling at 92 mph in a 60-mph zone.
Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy canceled some media interviews scheduled for Tuesday, and the school issued this prepared statement: “Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon was stopped for a traffic violation last night. Details from the incident are still being gathered by the University. Neither Blackmon nor OSU coach Mike Gundy can comment until the matter is resolved.”
Blackmon, a sophomore from Ardmore, Okla., has 62 receptions for 1,112 yards and 14 touchdowns, putting him on a pace to break several single-season receiving records at Oklahoma State. He had five catches for 157 yards and two scores in the Cowboys’ 51-41 loss to Nebraska on Saturday.
Oklahoma State, 6-1 and No. 17 in the BCS standings, is scheduled to play at Kansas State this Saturday.
