Old Dominion 57, Savannah St. 9

Thomas DeMarco rushed for two touchdowns Saturday and passed for two more - all in the first half - as Old Dominion sent Savannah State to its 11th straight loss, 57-9.
The Monarchs (6-3) jumped on the Tigers (0-9) early, with DeMarco capping a four-play, 39-yard drive on an 8-yard run with 13:53 left in the first quarter. DeMarco threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Reid Evans 9:55 later.
In building the 14-0 lead, Old Dominion took it easy on the Tigers - easy, compared to the onslaught that followed. The Monarchs scored three touchdowns in a 5 1/2-minute span, making it 36-0 with 9:37 left in the second quarter. ODU's Desmond Williams had a team-high 72 yards rushing, including a 32-yard touchdown run that began the rapid-scoring spree.
DeMarco also hit Chris Lovitt on a 50-yard scoring pass and ran 5 yards for his second rushing touchdown. ODU led 50-9 at halftime.
