Ohio State trustees get compliance review update

Consultants studying how well Ohio State University programs comply with rules and requirements will present their recommendations early next year.

The compliance review was launched earlier this year following the school's football memorabilia scandal that led to several player suspensions, the departure of coach Jim Tressel and an NCAA investigation.

Consultants told Ohio State trustees Monday that recommendations and plans to put them in place will be presented in February.

Consultants last month finished reviewing the school's compliance efforts and moved on to how well the university compares to other colleges and companies.

The review looks at rules compliance across the university, with an emphasis on athletics, research, student financial aid and the medical center.
