Northern Colorado to face San Jose State in 2019

(STATS) - Northern Colorado will open the 2019 season with a game at San Jose State.

The Aug. 29 matchup - the first between the two programs - completes Northern Colorado's nonconference schedule, which also includes a Sept. 7 game at Washington State.

The Bears have an 11-42-3 all-time record against opponents from the Mountain West Conference. Last year, the Big Sky Conference program finished 6-5 under coach Earnest Collins III.
