North Dakota St. rolls to 24-3 victory over Youngstown St.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) Chase Morlock ran for 101 yards and a touchdown to help North Dakota State beat Youngstown State 24-3 on Saturday in a game between two of the top three Missouri Valley Conference teams.

The Bison (8-1, 5-1) have won three straight since its lone loss to co-leader South Dakota State. The Penguins (6-3, 4-2) have lost two of their last three, including to South Dakota State.

Morlock ran for a 71-yard touchdown, Cam Pedersen kicked a 36-yard field goal and Easton Stick threw a 15-yard TD pass to Jeff Illies and the Bison lead 17-0 late in the first quarter. The Penguins committed two turnovers on consecutive possessions before Zak Kennedy kicked a 32-yard field goal. Kennedy missed a 34-yard field goal attempt and Nate Needham missed a 29-yarder to stall a 66-yard drive for the Penguins late in the third quarter.

Lance Dunn added 76 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Bison.
