North Carolina receives a big OL commitment for 2016 recruiting class

A major reinforcement could be on his way to North Carolina's offensive line in 2016.
Jay-Jay McCargo, a four-star recruit, gave his verbal commitment to the Tar Heels over the weekend, according to Don Callahan of Inside Carolina. The 270-pounder who stands 6-foot-4-inches tall picked UNC over Alabama, Auburn and a slew of competing ACC schools.
McCargo is from Arlington, Va., and his high school coach said the O-lineman's character is more impressive than even his highly touted playing ability.
"But I think more than anything else what separates him is his character," Bishop O'Connell head coach Colin Disch told Inside Carolina. "He’s very happy. He has a great smile. He’s really a joy to be around. He’s very coachable. And he’ll have a little bit of a mean streak on the football field, but off the football field you’ll never notice that."
With McCargo's pledge, Carolina's verbally committed class of 2016 swells to five players.
