NFL scout: 'I would take (Prescott) before Cardale for sure'

While much of the college football world may be sleeping on the senior season Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott is having in Starkville, NFL scouts are apparently paying attention.

According to NFL.com, one NFC area scout had this to say about the best quarterback in the Southeastern Conference:

"He's big and he can move. He's just OK as a downfield passer but he takes care of the ball. I would take him before Cardale (Jones) for sure. He might sneak into the second day (of the draft)."

The evaluation does not appear to be a knock on the Buckeyes junior quarterback but a compliment to the improvements Prescott has made in his game in a year's time. The decision to return for his senior season at Mississippi State appears to have been a wise decision - one that should pay off in more ways than one for Prescott's NFL career.
