Nebrich leads Fordham to 56-19 win over Colgate

Mike Nebrich returned to the starting lineup to throw for 395 yards and five touchdowns to lead Fordham to a 56-19 victory over Colgate Saturday.
Nebrich missed last week due to injury when Fordham (11-1) suffered its only loss of the season, losing to Lafayette College 27-14. Eleven wins is the most in school history.
Carlton Koonce ran in two touchdowns, and Nebrich completed scoring tosses to Brian Wetzel and Tebucky Jones to give the Rams a 28-0 lead in the first quarter. Koonce totaled 148 rushing yards for the day.
Jones, who now has 1,067 yard receiving for the season, caught 12 passes for 224 yards and one score. Sam Ajala, who had 71 yards receiving, now has 1,398 total yards for the season.
Colgate (4-8, 3-3 Patriot League) got on the board late in the first quarter when Demetrius Russell scored from the one.
