Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong hits head on turf, loses consciousness

There was a scary scene at the Horseshoe Saturday, as Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong hit his head on the turf after being upended on the sidelines on a second-quarter scramble, causing him to lose consciousness.
Armstrong, who laid motionless on the ground for a few moments, had his jersey and shoulder pads cut off by medical staff, who clearly feared a serious neck injury. He was carted off the field and taken to a Columbus-area hospital.
Nebraska football released a statement saying that Armstrong lost consciousness, but that he is now moving all extremities and was able to talk to his family while being carted off the field.
Per @HuskerSports Network Tommy Armstrong is talking and it looks like everything is just precautionary at this point. Great to hear.
