Neal with 5 TD passes, UT Martin beats Murray State 52-45

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) Jarod Neal threw for 420 yards with five touchdown passes and UT Martin beat Murray State 52-45 on Saturday night.

Trent Garland ran for 123 yards on 26 carries with a pair of touchdowns. Rod Wright caught three touchdown passes, and William Tanner had two scoring catches for the Skyhawks (4-2, 4-1 Ohio Valley) who won their fourth-straight.

KD Humphries threw two touchdown passes to Janawski Davis in the first quarter, and another to Jesse Blackburn with 3 seconds left. Roman Clay ran for 106 yards with two touchdowns for Murray State (2-5, 1-3).

The Racers jumped out to a 31-17 lead midway through the second quarter. Neal threw two touchdown passes to Wright to tie it 31-31 at halftime. Neal and Wright connected again for a score to open the third quarter. Garland ran for two second-half touchdowns to stretch the Skyhawks lead to 52-38.
