Jordan Reid threw for three touchdowns, Andre Clarke ran for two and North Carolina State outlasted Savannah State 45-33 in an offensive shootout Saturday night.

Reid was 22 of 34 for 241 yards of the total 545 yards for the Eagles (2-2, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), while Clarke ran 12 times for 117 yards. Savannah State (0-3, 0-1) amassed 428 offensive yards.

The Tigers - infamous for being Las Vegas odds-makers' first 70-point underdog (at FSU on Sept. 8) and losers of their first two games by a combined score of 139-0 - scored their first points of the season in taking a 14-3 lead.

The Tigers were up 14-10 at halftime, but couldn't stop Reid in the second half. He threw TD passes of 30 and 20 yards to Marvin Poole, and a 26-yarder to Decona Roberts, helping his squad to a 45-20 advantage early in the fourth quarter.
