Casey Brockman threw for 300 yards on 22-of-33 passing and ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns to lead Murray State past Tennessee State 28-23 in Ohio Valley Conference action on Saturday.

The Tigers (3-8, 0-7) actually led 14-7 at halftime, thanks to touchdown passes of 20 and 37 yards from Jeremy Perry to Calvin McNairl and Joseph Hills, respectively.

Brockman scored on a 7-yard run for Murray State in the opening quarter.

Duane Brady tied the score, 14-14, on a 4-yard run less than a minute into the second half. Brockman gave the Racers their first lead, 21-14, with a 22-yard touchdown run that capped a 7-play, 68-yard drive.

Perry threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to McNairl, but a blocked extra point prevented the Tigers from tying the score.

Brockman threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Harris to extend the Murray State lead, 28-20, with 13 seconds left in the third.
