Mississippi State Football Forecast: 2016 Senior Night

Before the 2016 Mississippi State football senior class takes the field at Davis Wade for the final time, it’s time to look up towards the sky.
And that’s not to say that we haven’t been looking up at the skies already. The 2016 Mississippi State football season has been a tale of droughts. One in the football sense, the other in the literal sense. Mississippi is in one of the worst droughts in state history. In fact, the eastern part of the state is in a class D4 drought. D4 is the highest classification of drought according to the Drought Monitor.
Back to football, we haven’t really gotten that much rain this football season. In fact, you could say that we haven’t gotten ANY significant rain during the football season. We all remember the season where they had to pour hay all over the ground. That didn’t work very well to stop the mud from ruining every dress out there. But we may have a little bit of relief from the drought this weekend. Luckily, it shouldn’t disrupt tailgating plans on Saturday. Friday, however, is going to be a little wet. Only will get about a tenth of an inch overnight, but at least it’s something!
