Notre Dame is retooling its offensive line a bit, and right tackle Mike McGlinchey has been one of the unit's most impressive components. The up-and-coming blocker used spring practices to build upon some late-season exposure from 2014, according to J.J. Stankevitz of CSN Chicago.

"It was huge because you always have that little bit of doubt whether you’re ready to compete or not," McGlinchey told CSN Chicago, referencing his appearances versus USC and LSU last season. "And once you get into live action, you kind of get your feet wet and you know what you’re capable of doing and know what you have to work on. Definitely huge experience in the last two games. There’s some talented players across from me, which was a wakeup call as well."

McGlinchey is entering his third year on campus, so he's had plenty of time to develop into a starting-caliber offensive lineman. After an impressive spring, it looks like the right tackle used the time wisely.
