Here are the betting odds for Michigan State football’s big game against No. 2 Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

Picking against Michigan State football on Saturday? You’re not alone. Michigan has been bet on quite a bit in Vegas recently and many believe the Wolverines will be able to cover the egregious spread in East Lansing.

Michigan State hasn’t played well as the favorite this season, failing to cover spreads and, heck, losing five straight games. The Spartans were favored against Wisconsin, BYU, Indiana, Northwestern and even last week against Maryland.

For a team that has had a rough season, it’s crazy to think that they’ve been favored in all but one game and they ended up winning as the underdog (Notre Dame).

Unsurprisingly, the Spartans will be major underdogs against Michigan on Saturday afternoon even though the game is at Spartan Stadium. In fact, this is the largest spread against the Spartans since they traveled to Columbus to take on No. 1 Ohio State in 1998.

Here are the betting odds for Saturday’s game against Michigan:

Point Spread: Michigan -25
Over/Under: 53

Will Michigan State be able to keep it closer than 25 points? Many people say no, but it’s hard to see a Mark Dantonio-coached team just fold up and let a top rival like Michigan run all over it.

Tyler O’Connor might be the best option to start this game since he’s been on the big stage before and won’t be rattled. However, Brian Lewerke has shown signs of a future star under center. This game might be closer than people expect.
