Miami Hurricanes ad encourages fans to attend fewer games?

In an interesting display of marketing acumen, the Miami Hurricanes are encouraging their fans to attend fewer football games in 2014.
The 'Canes have had trouble filling up Sun Life Stadium on game days, thanks to a combination of an off-campus stadium, mediocre football and the sunny beaches of South Florida calling.
So instead of fighting the current, Miami is promoting a two-game mini-plan for the upcoming season.
The ad begins this way:
Miami Hurricanes football – feel the excitement!
The ad lists criteria for fans who might fit the two-game plan:
The real benefit of buying the two-game plan is it’s the only opportunity for Miami fans to attend the Florida State game without being a season-ticket holder. The university is not selling tickets to the public for the FSU game only.
Starting at $108 (which includes a Miami hat), it’s not a bad deal for two really good football games. What kind of feedback has Miami gotten from the plan?
Let’s try this again: Miami Hurricanes football – the program of the people!
