Taylor Reed threw for career-highs of 332 yards and three touchdowns to lead Memphis to a 27-6 win over Austin Peay on Saturday night.

Reed rebounded after the freshman had lackluster performances in Memphis' losses against Mississippi State and Arkansas State. But the Tigers (1-2) were never threatened by Austin Peay as Reed was stellar in this contest, completing 20 of 30 passes.

Memphis took a 20-0 lead that was highlighted by Reed's 42-yard touchdown pass to Tannar Rehrer in the second quarter and a 22-yard passing score to Kevin Wright in the third. Kicker Paulo Henriques added two fields of 30 and 44 yards.

Reed's final touchdown throw came in the fourth quarter when he completed a 93-yard pass to Billy Foster, who finished with 118 yards on four catches for the Tigers.
