Wisconsin has already knocked off undefeated Kentucky and is one victory away from the program’s first national championship since 1941. The Badgers take on Duke in Monday night's title game, and junior forward Sam Dekker is a major reason they have gotten this far.

Dekker is averaging 20.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game during the NCAA Tournament, while shooting over 50 percent from the field. He and his teammates have the support of the Badger faithful, including Wisconsin star running back Melvin Gordon - a possible first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Gordon told Taylor Rooks of the Big Ten Network that he hits up Dekker before games and offers some helpful tips.

"I always text Sam and I tell him to get buckets, hit his chest to let the crowd know he's there," Gordon told Rooks in a text message. "But (I told him to) always remember the fundamentals."

Gordon also told Rooks he has a friendly back-and-forth going with Georgia’s Todd Gurley. The pair might be the first two running backs off the board in this year’s draft, and they have differing rooting interests in tonight’s game.
