This is what Lamar Jackson said about his Heisman Trophy invitation, according to David Hale from ESPN:

Statement from Lamar Jackson on his Heisman invite: “I’m extremely humbled and honored to be a Heisman Trophy finalist. This is a great honor for me, but it’s an honor that goes to my teammates too. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to be successful and I share this accomplishment with them.”

I thought this statement from Jackson was just amazing. This kid is so humble and loves to be a great teammate. I know that they didn’t finish strong this season, but his commitment to his teammates and coaches will help the Cards going into 2016.

It will definitely be interesting to see how the voting process works itself out, but I still believe that Jackson is the clear favorite.

There are things he has done this year that no other player has ever done in the history of college football.

The 2016 Heisman Trophy will be in Lamar Jackson’s hands before we know it.
