We take a look at and discuss 247 Sports’ current Heisman Odds for each player, including Louisville football quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Lamar Jackson has been dominating the college football scene all season long. Not to mention that he is also one of the biggest reasons that the Louisville football program has an opportunity to make it to the college football playoff this season. If they don’t make the playoffs, then worse case scenario is a New Year’s Six bowl. I think all Louisville fans could get used to this football success because it sure is fun.

In my opinion, Jackson is very far ahead of any other player, in terms of who should win the coveted award this year.

Lamar Jackson may be the only one-loss player at the Heisman ceremony this December as it looks as though J.T. Barrett and Deshaun Watson have their teams rolling through the competition. The bad news for the Ohio State and Clemson quarterbacks is that Jackson is favored to win the Heisman and he will, more than likely, be bringing it back to the Ville’.

Don’t get me wrong, Barrett and Watson have had great seasons, but not the level of dominance that Lamar Jackson has been displaying.

Jackson has a huge match-up against the NC State Wolfpack this Saturday. He needs to keep playing well if he wants to win the famous award at the end of 2016.
