We take a look at a breaking news report that two Louisville football players were shot at an apartment on Saturday night.

A Sunday of great rejoicing over the Heisman Trophy has quickly turned into a sad moment as two Louisville football players were reportedly shot on Saturday night. This news could not come at a worse time, as this was supposed to be a weekend of rejoicing for the entire football program.

This is incredibly heartbreaking, but it sounds like both players will be okay.

This was reported by WDRB in Louisville on Sunday morning:

“Two University of Louisville football players were reportedly shot Saturday night at an off-campus apartment.

Sources close to the team tell WDRB News that junior linebacker James Hearns and sophomore linebacker Henry Famurewa were both shot at a party at an apartment near the university.

Neither of the victim’s injuries appear to be life-threatening.

There was a third victim also shot, but that person’s name is still unknown.

This story will be updated.”

I absolutely hate to see this type of thing happen to anybody, especially two college kids that are still getting their start in life.

If there is any good news in this entire story, is that it sounds like they are going to be okay.

Hopefully James Hearns and Henry Famurewa can get the support they need to get back to being healthy enough to start doing everyday things again soon.
