Jyruss Edwards made the most of his eight carries, rushing for 123 yards and a score to help Louisiana-Monroe to a dominating 48-10 win over Grambling State on Saturday night.

Louisiana-Monroe (1-1) rebounded from a shutout loss against Oklahoma last weekend, scoring five first-half touchdowns to put the game out of reach early.

The Warhawks got on the board right away when Cortney Davis returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown.

Grambling State (0-2) responded with a 17-yard touchdown pass from D.J. Williams to Anthony McGhee to tie the game before the Louisiana-Monroe offense took over.
