Looney leads Marist to 43-23 win over Georgetown

Chuckie Looney tied his own school record of four touchdown passes as he led Marist to a 43-23 win over Georgetown Saturday night.

Looney, who shares the record with three others, tied the record last year. He threw for 275 yards in the win over Georgetown (1-2). He also rushed for another score.

Armanie Martin, who pulled in 6 catches for 114 yard, was Looney's prime target.

The Marist Red Foxes (1-2) had a 9-point lead in the first quarter when Georgetown came back to tie the game in the second quarter. Looney responded with a 6-yard touchdown run with 5 seconds left in the half to give Marist a 16-9 advantage. The Red Foxes then scored 21 unanswered points to pull ahead 37-9 in the third quarter.

Nick Kaszei led the defense for Marist with 13 tackles.

Georgetown's Isaiah Kempf threw for 398 yards and two touchdowns.
