Caleb Berry had a career-best 399 yards passing and Lamar rallied from a 16-point deficit to defeat Grambling State 27-16 on Saturday night.

The Cardinals (3-2) fell behind 16-0 in the first ten minutes as Grambling State (0-5) took advantage of a safety, two interceptions and a missed field goal.

Berry settled down and the Lamar defense responded, shutting the Tigers out the rest of the way.

The Cardinals scored 27 unanswered points and finished the game with 535 total yards.
