The only casualty from this high school football team's bus fire was the bus itself, which is amazing because, goodness gracious, look at the flames coming off that thing.
This happened Friday in Portland, Ore., where the Central Catholic JV football team was on its way to a game, and it happened during rush-hour traffic. Everybody on the bus made it safely off before it was consumed by flame, standing roadside in their football pants. It took the firefighters forever to get to the scene because of the rush-hour traffic jam caused by ... the flaming bus. The same was true for Central Catholic's replacement bus, which didn't arrive in time to get its team to the game, which soon was canceled.
